The Rock, Ballycastle

The Rock, Ballycastle

This rock is a well loved feature of the coastline at Ballycastle. It is a favourite spot for walkers, for families, for couples in love. Many memories have been made here. Winter often experiences strong seas with beautiful (but dangerous) waves. At that time of the year the angle of the sun means that the clouds above Rathlin Island on the horizon catch the last light. I loved the colour contrasts and the solidity of the rock in the midst of stormy seas.
