High in Glenariff, the 'queen' of the Glens of Antrim, are some magnificent beech trees. A feature of beach trees is that they tend to hold on to their autumn leaves well into winter. On a rare snowy morning I made this photo through the window of my car (there was no other traffic on the road at the time!). The falling snow obscured the background and after a few seconds wait the lone sheep, taking shelter under the branches, lifted its head to look at me. The title of this photo, "L'abri" is French for shelter - something we all need!
